A foggy, cracked, or drafty window rarely means replacing the whole window unit. In most cases the frame is fine and only the glass pack (the insulated unit inside the frame) has failed — and swapping just that costs a fraction of a full window replacement. We handle the entire glass side of windows: measuring the unit, sourcing or fabricating the replacement, and installing it into your existing frame, often in a single visit once the glass is ready.
We repair instead of replacing when possible, saving you money while extending the life of your windows — and every quote is free, itemized, and honest, with no hidden fees, ever.
Repair First, Replace When It Makes Sense
We cut and fit each pane with precision, ensuring a perfect seal that lasts for years — in the glass type your home actually needs.
Signs Your Window Glass Needs Help
Fog or condensation between the panes (a failed seal), cracks, chips, and shattered panes, hard-water etching from sprinklers and storms, drafts and rattling from failed glazing, and single-pane upgrades for older homes.
Glass Types We Install
Insulated glass units (double-pane sealed packs, clear or low-E), tempered safety glass near doors and tubs, laminated glass, impact-rated assemblies for hurricane-prone zones, and tinted, bronze, and gray glass for glare and heat control.
Impact Glass & South Florida Reality
Between June and November, window glass in Miami-Dade and Broward is a safety system, not just a view.
Storm Safety
Impact-rated laminated glass resists wind-borne debris and holds together if breached — installed to South Florida code requirements, with honest guidance on which path your house actually needs.
Security & Efficiency
The same laminated construction adds a security layer against break-ins and cuts UV fading inside, while low-E insulated units measurably reduce cooling costs in the South Florida sun.
- Failed glass packs replaced with impact-rated equivalents where the frame allows.
- Complete impact assemblies installed when frames need to change.
- Insurance documentation for impact upgrades, provided for carrier discounts.
Commercial & Storefront Windows
Storefront glass breaks for many reasons, and a closed business loses money daily. We fabricate and install fast.

Our Process
- Assessment — photos by email or a quick site visit identify the exact unit and glass type.
- Quote — glass-only repair vs. replacement options priced side by side, impact upgrade included where relevant.
- Fabrication — sealed units are made to your dimensions; standard sizes arrive quickly, custom units typically within one to two weeks.
- Installation — old unit out, new one set, sealed, and cleaned, usually in about an hour per window.

Glass Types Explained: Annealed, Tempered, Laminated & Impact
The glass in your window is engineered for a job, and matching (or upgrading) it correctly is what a glass-only replacement is all about:
- Annealed (float) glass — the standard pane in older homes. Breaks into sharp shards; fine for many fixed windows, but never the right choice where code calls for safety glazing.
- Tempered glass — heat-treated to roughly four times the strength of annealed, and it crumbles into small pieces instead of shards. Required in doors, sidelites, and windows near tubs, stairs, and floors.
- Laminated glass — two lites bonded over a tough interlayer that holds the pane together when struck. The backbone of impact products and a strong security upgrade at street level.
- Impact units — laminated inner lite (often paired with an insulated outer lite) that passes Miami-Dade missile testing. In High-Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ), opening protections need a NOA — a Notice of Acceptance listing the exact tested product. We install NOA-listed units only, and we can tell you whether your opening requires one.
Not sure which glass you have? A photo of the corner etch or the spacer bar between panes usually tells us — text it to 305-814-7483 before you order anything.
Insulated Units: Low-E, Argon & Foggy Glass
A modern insulated glass unit (IGU) is two (or three) lites separated by a sealed, air- or argon-filled cavity. A Low-E coating on the inner face reflects heat back where it came from — meaningful in a South Florida summer — and argon fill improves that further while cutting condensation. When the perimeter seal fails, humidity enters the cavity and the window fogs between the panes; no cleaning reaches it, and the correct fix is a new sealed unit in the existing frame, typically a fraction of full-window replacement. If your current units are clear glass, a fog-forced replacement is the cheapest moment you will ever have to upgrade to Low-E — the labor is already paid for. We handle the full range from a single cracked pane to whole-home unit replacement; see all glass services or our commercial storefront program for business openings.
Window Glass Replacement FAQ
Fog between the panes means the insulated unit’s seal has failed — and the fix is replacing the glass pack, not the entire window. The frame stays; only the sealed unit comes out. That’s typically a fraction of the cost of a full window replacement, done in about an hour once the unit arrives.
Single-pane replacements commonly run $150–$400, insulated units $300–$900, and impact-rated assemblies more depending on size and frame work. Every job is quoted free and itemized before we order glass. Many repairs cost less than homeowners expect — the measure visit is the cheapest first step.
Standard-size insulated units and common single panes can arrive within days; custom sealed units typically take one to two weeks to fabricate. Installation itself is about an hour per window. Broken windows get priority — tell us the situation and we expedite.
Sometimes. If the frames are structurally sound and rated for it, an impact-rated glass pack can go into the existing frame. Older aluminum frames often need the full impact window assembly to meet code and perform in a storm. We inspect and tell you honestly which category your home falls into.
Replacing failed units stops the leak, and low-E coated insulated glass measurably cuts heat gain in South Florida sun. Glass-only upgrades help most on the sun-struck sides of the house. FPL-cooling bills respond noticeably when several old units are upgraded at once.
Yes. We document damage with photos and itemized scopes your adjuster can work from, and we distinguish clearly between repair and replacement costs. If storm season takes out your glass, call us first — we’ll secure the opening and produce the paperwork.
Clear the area (tempered glass crumbles, annealed glass shards), keep kids and pets away, and tape cardboard or plastic over the opening if it’s safe. Then call us with the approximate size — we prioritize broken-window fabrication and can often secure the opening quickly.
Frequently — we work with landlords and property managers across both counties, with itemized invoices per unit and fast turnaround between tenants. Tenants should have the owner or manager authorize the work, then we handle the rest, including after-hours access when needed.
